Manticore Spa is a gay sauna in central Plymouth, with a relaxed, friendly vibe both in the daytime and on themed nights. Facilities include a 12-man dry sauna in hardwood, a 25-man steam room, a fully licensed bar with beers, ciders, wines, spirits, cocktails and alcohol-free options, a cinema room with tiered seating, private cabins and a lounge with a gallery looking across the city to Cornwall. The sauna opens on Fridays from noon to midnight, Saturdays from noon to 4 am, and Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from noon to 6 pm. The programme includes blackout nights with coloured glow sticks, naked or jockstrap nights, Halloween parties and reduced-price Sundays. Photo ID is required on every visit, and same-day re-entry is available.
