Browsing without an account
No account is needed to browse the guide. We use no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no trackers.
Our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, page requested) to keep the site secure; they are kept for a few days. We count views of each listing and clicks on its buttons anonymously, without identifying visitors.
Special care for your privacy
Visiting a site like KinkyInsider can reveal intimate information. That is why accounts work under a pseudonym, your favourites stay on your device, your location is never sent to our servers, and we collect only what is strictly necessary.
Storage on your device
Your age confirmation, your favourites and, if you are logged in, your session are stored in your browser's local storage. They are needed for the site to work and are not used for any tracking. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site's data.
Your location is only used in your browser, with your permission, to show nearby venues.
Member account and reviews
If you create an account, we keep your email address (never displayed), your pseudonym and your reviews, based on the consent you give when signing up. Only your pseudonym and approved reviews are public.
To help you, the text of a review may be sent to an artificial intelligence service (OpenAI) to suggest spelling corrections that you accept or not, or to translate it at a visitor's request.
This data is kept until you delete your account, which you can do at any time from your member area: everything is then erased immediately.
Venues and organisers
When a venue adds or claims a listing, or an organiser submits a party, we keep the contact's details (name, email, phone, role), the proofs and the content sent, to handle the request and manage the listing. Photos sent are checked automatically (OpenAI) to exclude explicit nudity.
Listings contain public business information about venues (name, address, phone, website, contact email), based on our legitimate interest in offering a complete guide. A venue can object to being listed at any time by writing to us.
We may contact a listed venue at its business address to invite it to check its listing; every message lets it refuse further emails. This data is kept as long as the listing exists, then for at most 3 years after the last contact.
Service providers
We use: Vercel (website hosting, United States), Supabase (database, European Union), Resend (sending emails, United States), OpenAI (photo checks, review correction and translation, United States), MapTiler (map tiles, Switzerland) and Google (venue photos). Transfers outside the European Union are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The “Directions” button opens Google Maps: Google then receives data about your visit under its own policy.
Your rights
You can access, correct, erase, restrict, port or object to the processing of your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hello@kinkyinsider.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
KinkyInsider is not intended for minors and does not knowingly collect any data about them.
