RSDS – Rauschgold sucht das Supersternchen (Karaokeshow)

The big Saturday-night karaoke show at a Berlin queer bar: guests take the stage to become the night's little star, in a festive LGBTQ+ atmosphere.

About the venue · Rauschgold

Rauschgold is a queer bar at 62 Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg, Berlin, near the Bergmannkiez, open since 2005 under the motto « the bar where the night never ends ». Open every day from 8 pm, it is both a living room for a quiet evening at the bar and a party venue, with music from Berlin DJs and regular shows, especially travesty, drag and karaoke shows. Recurring highlights include « Ein Lied für den Mehringdamm », a contest held since 2007 on the eve of the Eurovision final, where twelve contestants perform a song from the contest for a ten-person jury and the audience; RSDS, a karaoke show open to all; and the « Community Star », a gala on the first Saturday of September honouring bars, parties, artists and projects of Berlin's LGBTIQ community. Some events are ticketed, with advance booking and a box office on the night. The bar is about five minutes' walk from Mehringdamm and Platz der Luftbrücke U-Bahn stations.
