Saint-Nazaire has allowed naturism by municipal order since 1999 on a stretch of coast west of the town, between Les Jaunais beach and the Chemoulin cove. According to the tourist office, the second beach at Les Jaunais, east of the supervised beach and behind a rocky spur, is reserved for naturists. The nearby Petite Vallée beach has the same authorisation.
