East of Kristiansand, just past the Varodd bridge, the Søm recreation area has a naturist beach officially approved from 1 May to 1 October, next to the textile beach. It is a child-friendly sandy beach with a toilet, looked after by the Sørlandet naturist association, which leases the site from the municipality.
